Aroha Cancer Centre Limited (ACC), is a privately owned medical centre (specialing in holistic cancer care); whose idea was born in 2017 by Dr. Joshua Kibera, and incorporated in April 2019.
Cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality in the Meru Region, and the third nationally; with the highest incidence and diagnosis countrywide being here in Meru.
The root cause of this has not been identified; as there has been no research to study and document this.
The cancer burden in Kenya is heavy; as patients travel to Nairobi or abroad for cancer care.
This is the backdrop to the formation of Aroha Cancer Centre (ACC) in 2019 by Dr Joshua Kibera and four other friends and colleagues.
